Welcome to the official blog for the Alexandria Mentoring Partnership in Alexandria, Virginia! The purpose of this blog is two fold: inspire and be inspired.


For those of you who are already mentors, you already know both the joys as well as the challenges of this important role. Share your moments: the"aha!"'s,the"hahaha!"'s, as well as the "oh no!"'s.Use this forum as your virtual mentor community: find the courage you might need to keep going or encourage others with your own experiences. Through one another's anecdotes, videos, and photos - we can more deeply connect in order to effectively empower our youth!

For those of you who want to be a mentor, WELCOME! This forum is a place to learn more about the mentoring experience. Wright to Read volunteers sharing thoughts

Wright to Read is a progam which promotes literacy through tutoring and mentoring of elementary school students. We are looking for volunteers to start tutoring this spring and continue into the summer and the next school year. This is a video of three of our volunteers sharing their thoughts about the program.
